Our activities are just recommendations and inspiration for you as you plan your perfect day.
Please contact Capt. Jake directly if you want to discuss experiences that are not listed below.
A crowd favorite! This is the perfect choice if you're looking to spend the day on a sandbar with family and friends! Just imagine sitting in a beach chair under an umbrella, a cool drink in hand. Or maybe you'd rather be napping on a float while the kids explore the marsh and splash through tidal pools with Capt. Jake. Sandbar Days are great for all ages and abilities, offering a calm and safe entry into the water- no scary waves here!
This eco-tour is designed for the kiddos but has been proven to be just as fun and educational for parents! Before we even leave the dock, we will stop and observe the sea life attached to it. That's right, we're talking about Sea Squirts! (Google: tunicates)
From there, we'll head into the creeks and check crab pots, throw cast nets, walk creek beds, dig in the mud, and search the sky for marine life.
LET'S GOOO! Cold Drinks just taste better on a boat- it's science! Grab your tribe, hook up to the AUX, and enjoy a laid-back cruise through one of the most beautiful little beach towns you ever did see.
Perfect for bachelor & bachelorette parties or for parents who just need a little down time!
Clamming is hands down a guest favorite! At low tide, we'll wind through the salt marsh in search of the perfect creek bed to get out and get dirty. There's something so satisfying about digging your meal straight from the earth!
Use your feet to squish around in the sand for those sneaky bivalves, or grab a rake and listen for that telltale screech as it drags across the shell. (Water shoes are required)
A shell lover's dream- four miles of pristine beach, no houses, no cars, no crowds, just an endless supply of untouched shells!
This activity involves a 1/8 mile walk through sand from our sound-side anchorage to the oceanfront. (Water shoes recommended for hot sand.)
A fun way to rack up your step count! We'll hike over to the oceanfront and search for shark teeth that are anywhere from 10,000 to 10 million years old!
Make it a friendly competition- who can find the biggest or the most? Want to surprise a loved one? Ask about our authentic Megalodon teeth, discovered by divers just a few miles offshore!
You pick the pace and name the place! A great way to see the sights of Southeastern NC, whether you want to explore the Intracoastal Waterway, cruise through coastal neighborhoods, stop for photos, or even grab a bite at a waterfront restaurant.
Just as beautiful as it sounds! Everything slows down as we idle across the sound and let the sky do its thing.
This trip pairs perfectly with a dinner reservation- because what's better than arriving by boat? (This is a 2 hour trip ending at dark, under no circumstances will the boat travel after dark.)
Lea Island is one of the most important nesting sites for seabirds on the East Coast, making it a gold mine for bird watchers.
This slow and steady cruise keeps the boat stable and dry for cameras and equipment. Expect close encounters with ospreys and maybe even a resident bald eagle near Hampstead!
Dolphins are found in Southeastern NC year-round, but while sightings aren't guaranteed, Capt. Jake jokingly says there's a 49.9% chance we'll spot one on your trip!
Dolphin sightings are unpredictable, so the best plan is to enjoy the ride- and if we see dolphins, it's a treat!
Just moved to the area and planning to buy a boat? Book an introductory charter with Capt. Jake and get familiar with the waterways.
This trip helps you stay safe, avoid sandbars, and learn the local spots- keeping you off The Qualified Captain! We can cover as much ground as you'd like, from New River to Cape Fear. (If additional fuel is needed it will be the client's responsibility.)
With patience and expertise, Capt. Jake will provide top-quality instruction in a safe, remote area of the Intracoastal Waterway.
